I could explain to you the first job, the first contract, the first of many different things. Instead, I opt to share a story.
I remember seeing many different examples of business communication from an organization where my father worked. I reviewed and examined the layed out documents to have some sort of an understanding why he was so busy. I remember feeling uneasy. Why were the images squeezed? Why were public communication offered in black and white? Why were promotional material photocopied? I learned a great deal of the political realm for our First Nations people and community while at the same time recognized that effective and efficient communication was an afterthought.
Communication should be consistent. Communication should be efficient. Communication should be effective. Communication has the power to impact hearts and minds to call people to action.
I spent the greater part of the last few decades in learning how to help the small-medium enterprise and socially responsible socioeconomic development organization communicate with people and their needs and wants.
The implementation of effective and efficient communition is a passion and purpose of Niikaan Studio.
“Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that's why it is so complicated.”
